What is Enriched Air Nitrox?

Enriched Air Nitrox – often just called Nitrox – is a breathing gas that has a higher percentage of oxygen and a lower percentage of nitrogen than regular air. The most common mix is 32% oxygen (compared to the 21% in normal air).

This reduced nitrogen content means less nitrogen gets absorbed into your body during a dive, allowing for:
