Be a responsible traveler and diver.

Let us be environmentally conscious and strive to preserve the pristine beauty of the ANDAMANS.

Here are a few pointers.

Fresh water resources in Havelock are dwindling, with increase in tourist footfalls. Conserve water by limiting the use of water for showers. Reducing laundry is another way.

Avoid use of plastics and disposables. Please do not get rid of non- biodegradable trash in the ocean. Dispose trash in a responsible manner. Plastics cause damage and death to marine life, with long lasting harmful effects.

Coral growth is very slow. Please do not touch or break them. Even a touch can destroy their protective mucous covering and render it vulnerable to attack by other organisms.

Please do not patronize businesses that operate in an eco-unfriendly manner.

Do not give sweets or gifts to local children, as it increases dependency and associates tourists to freebies. Instead, contribute to organizations and NGOs working for the island's welfare.

Do not employ anyone to take you on a tribal tour, which is prohibited.
